Green silicon carbide

Green silicon carbide also named Green Carborundum is generated from quartz sand (SiO2), petroleum coke (C) and salt as additive in electric resistance type furnaces at high temperatures, and it is produced basically the same way as Black silicon carbide.

Green silicon carbide has good hardness of Mohs hardness:9.2, which is higher than corundum and ranks below diamond and a high purity over 99% in SiC.
Green silicon carbide is also characterized by strong cutting ability, stable chemical characteristics, high friability, excellent thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient and super performance of wear-resisting,
Green silicon carbide can resist high temperature and corrosion & thermal shock.
